Dear Jan and the LVSV Organizational Team,

In the early August this year I have participated in the greatest event of the year – The Liberty Seminar – so well organized by your team.
This seminar was extraordinary for many reasons. I could meet such outstanding professors and personalities as Tom Palmer who brought his presentation in Political Science, Pierre Garello – economy professor, Boudewijn Bouckaert – with a lecture on Natural Law, Carlo Lotieri from Italy who spoke about the nature of State. Some of them I have already heard of and I could discover and appreciate the others. I could meet bright students in different fields, from undergraduates et PhD students, from different countries and universities. But also, talking to Belgian students, I could learn about Belgium and understand it much better.
I study Political Studies at the Sorbonne Paris III University. As I asked my economy professor if he is in support of a particular economic philosophy, he said he were a supporter of Marx-Keynes economic thought. And I can say all three of my economy professors belong to the same branch. That is when I said to myself, how good it is that I am interested in liberal economics and that I had a chance to participate at the Liberty seminar this year. I made many useful contacts and friends to discuss the Liberty economics and keep up with the intellectual challenges.
One last thing to notice is the informal and cozy environment of the Seminar. The Seminar was hosted in the medieval Catholic University of Leuven, a beautiful and engaging frame for our academic efforts. And as much I enjoyed the lectures during the day, I enjoyed our evening meetings in the local Leuven bars where we could discuss our daily lectures and ask any unanswered questions we could still have.
Thank you!
